Separate

Have you ensured that the driveway is not used as a play area?

Is there a fenced-off, designated play area separate from the driveway?

Have you made access to the driveway di cult for children by using security doors, fencing, or gates?

Supervise

Are you actively supervising your children when they are near vehicles?

Are you holding their hand or keeping them close when near cars?

If you need to move a vehicle and are the only adult present, have you securely placed your child in the vehicle with you?

Do you always walk around your vehicle before moving it?

Are you relying on direct observation rather than just parking sensors or a reversing camera?

Are children and carers waving goodbye from a safe place, away from the driveway?
